Tax office faces lower growth in revenue

BI regulates bigger forex purchases to steady rupiah

As the rupiah declines, the central bank will limit the purchase of foreign currencies above US$100,000 to those who can provide information to justify their transactions. Through a new regulation to be effective starting Thursday, Bank Indonesia expects this policy to help balance demand and supply in the forex market, reduce extreme pressure on the rupiah and minimize forex purchases for speculative purposes, governor Boediono said in a statement Wednesday.

Sajira Set to be the National Tree Planting Location

RANGKASBITUNG – The RI Department of Forestry has set the Lebak Regency to be the location for the realization of the 2008 Indonesia Tree Planting Day. After the official announcement, last Monday (8/9), the State Secretary office along with Department of Forestry conducted a survey to the appointed location, around the forest area of the Dodiklatpur Rindam II Siliwangi, Sajira District. The Asda II of Setda Lebak, HA Gofar, contacted to his cell phone confirmed Lebak’s official appointment to be the central location of the national HMPI realization by the Department of Forestry.
